PROJECT SASSANDRA

About the Project

Goal : €200 / €200.000

Sassandra is located in the South-West part of Ivory Coast and is the region where we are already running another project, in the village of Godjiboué.

Currently, the area has no access to electricity. We aim to empower people in 5 different villages by replacing dangerous and polluting energy sources such as torches and kerosene lamps, which they currently have in their homes, with modern, clean and affordable solar energy. The project is coordinated in cooperation with our Solar Partners PARO-CI and Rural Spark. In cooperation with our partners, we offer our customers high-quality solar systems and a flexible payment plan.

Project size
1000 home solar kits, 6000 inhabitants (installed in 5 different villages)

Project period
February 2019 - February 2023

Product
We offer villagers with The Rural Spark Home Energy Kit with the option of upgrading to products such as television and fan. The Rural Spark model is based upon smart mini-grids which allow villagers in our projects to generate, use, trade and sell energy while creating positive environmental, social and economic impact. Moreover, providing access to energy increases the aspiration for energy.
